The program aimed to raise awareness about the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013, and to promote a safe and respectful environment on campus. The session was led by Mrs. Nanditha Sunil, a certified POSH trainer and expert in workplace ethics and gender sensitivity.

The session began with an overview of the POSH Act, its relevance in educational institutions, and the legal rights and responsibilities of individuals.

Key topics covered included:

  • Definition and forms of sexual harassment
  • Roles and responsibilities of the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC)
  • Reporting mechanisms and redressal procedures
  • Importance of creating a safe and inclusive space for all

The training featured real-life case studies, interactive discussions, and Q&A segments, helping participants understand practical implications and clarify doubts. Emphasis was placed on the importance of awareness, empathy, and timely action in addressing grievances. Both students and staff participated actively, demonstrating their commitment to fostering a harassment-free and supportive academic environment.

Feedback from participants was overwhelmingly positive, with many appreciating the clarity and relevance of the content. The institution reaffirmed its zero-tolerance policy toward sexual harassment and emphasized its commitment to conducting regular training and awareness programs to uphold safety, dignity, and equality for all.
