Founder’s Day Celebration- Mangaluru Entrepreneurs' Day (Ideation '26)
Manel Srinivas Nayak Institute of Management (MSNIM) successfully organized “Mangalore Entrepreneurs’ Day – Ideation ’26” on 07 February 2026 as part of the Founder’s Day Celebration. The programme aimed to inspire budding entrepreneurs, create networking opportunities, and bring together business owners, investors, and stakeholders to exchange innovative ideas and develop meaningful partnerships.
The event focused on promoting entrepreneurship among students and encouraging them to establish and expand business ventures in Mangaluru, thereby contributing to employment generation and regional economic growth.
The programme commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the Chief Guest, followed by a floral tribute to the portrait of Manel Srinivas Nayak. The inaugural ceremony reflected the institution’s commitment towards fostering innovation, leadership, and entrepreneurial thinking among students.
The Chief Guest for the programme was Ms. Vathika Pai, who motivated the students by sharing valuable insights from her entrepreneurial journey. In her address, she emphasized the importance of innovation, determination, and risk-taking in business. The programme was presided over by Mr. Manel Annappa Nayak.
Other dignitaries present during the event included V. Leeladhar, Jeevandas Narayan, Arjun Srinivas Nayak Manel, B. Ganesh Krishna Bhat, K. V. Raghav Kamath, and Dr. Molly S. Chaudhuri. Their presence added significance to the occasion and encouraged students to actively participate in entrepreneurial activities.
A major highlight of the event was the Business Plan Presentation Competition conducted for MBA students of MSNIM. Students presented innovative business ideas and entrepreneurial models before the panel, demonstrating creativity, strategic thinking, and practical business understanding. The best business plans were recognized and awarded at the end of the programme.
The business plan presentations were evaluated by Mr. Parineeth Rau, who assessed the ideas based on feasibility, innovation, market potential, and presentation skills.
The programme proceedings were efficiently coordinated by the student coordinators. Ms. Ananya, First Year MBA student, served as the Master of Ceremonies, while the welcome address was delivered by Ms. Anisha, First Year MBA student. The vote of thanks was proposed by Ms. Soorya, First Year MBA student.
The event concluded successfully with enthusiastic participation from MBA students and provided an excellent platform for nurturing entrepreneurial skills, promoting innovation, and encouraging future business leaders.
