Martyrs' Day
Manel Srinivas Nayak Institute of Management (MSNIM), Bondel, observed Martyrs’ Day on 30 January 2026 at the Besant Campus, Mangaluru, to pay tribute to the great leaders and freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for the nation.
The day marks the death anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, who was assassinated on 30 January 1948. On this occasion, students and faculty members gathered to remember the sacrifices made by the martyrs who fought for India’s freedom and to reflect on the values of peace, non-violence and national unity.
The programme began with a two-minute silence as a mark of respect to the martyrs. Students also shared brief reflections highlighting the importance of remembering the sacrifices of freedom fighters and the relevance of Gandhian principles in today’s society.
The observance served as a meaningful reminder for students to uphold the values of patriotism, peace and social responsibility in their lives. Through this programme, the institute paid homage to the martyrs and reaffirmed its commitment to nurturing responsible and socially conscious citizens.
