NSS Unit Organizes Heartwarming Outreach Program “Sneha Sambhandha” at Government Boys Home, Bondel

The NSS Unit of Manel Srinivas Nayak Institute of Management (MSNIM) organized a heartfelt outreach program titled “Sneha Sambhandha” at the Government Boys Home in Bondel. This initiative aimed to spread joy and foster meaningful connections by spending quality time with the children through engaging activities and interactive sessions.

The Government Boys Home currently offers day care for 14 children of various age groups. Our NSS volunteers were delighted to share a day filled with warmth, laughter, and unforgettable memories. The event commenced with a formal welcome ceremony where both the children and volunteers were introduced, setting a positive and energetic tone for the day.

A brief address by the NSS Program Coordinator emphasized the importance of compassion, empathy, and social responsibility in everyday life. This was followed by a series of vibrant and lively dance performances by our volunteers, which brought immense joy to the children and highlighted the power of small gestures in making a big difference.

One of the highlights of the day was the interactive game session, where games such as lemon spoon race, ball passing, musical chairs, and balloon saving were organized. These activities were met with enthusiastic participation and infectious laughter, creating a truly joyful atmosphere. Volunteers actively assisted and encouraged every child, ensuring inclusivity and appreciation for all participants.

Adding a thoughtful dimension to the program, NSS volunteers performed a meaningful skit on the theme “Respecting Teachers”. The drama beautifully conveyed the vital role teachers play in shaping young minds and the importance of showing them gratitude and respect.

The day concluded with a valedictory ceremony, where winners of the games were recognized and rewarded. As a gesture of love and encouragement, the NSS team distributed chocolates and stationery kits—including notebooks, pens, pencils, and erasers—to all the children.

“Sneha Sambhandha” was more than just an event; it was a celebration of connection, compassion, and community. It left a lasting impact on both the children and volunteers, reminding us all of the joy that comes from giving and sharing.
