MRPL-MSNIM Vigilance Awareness Competition 2025
Manel Srinivas Nayak Institute of Management (MSNIM), Bondel, in association with Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL), organized the MRPL-MSNIM Vigilance Awareness Competitions 2025 on 14 October 2025 at the Netravathi Auditorium, MSNIM Besant Campus, Mangaluru. The programme was held as part of the Vigilance Awareness Week observed to mark the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. The theme for the year was “Vigilance: Our Shared Responsibility.”
The event saw enthusiastic participation from 352 students representing 33 colleges from Coastal and Malnad Karnataka. Competitions such as Quiz, Poster Making, Essay Writing (Online), Street Play and Elocution were conducted to create awareness among students about the importance of integrity, transparency and ethical practices in society.
The prize distribution ceremony was graced by Shri Ganesh S. Bhat, Chief Vigilance Officer, MRPL, who distributed prizes to the winners. In his address, he highlighted the importance of honesty and responsibility in building a corruption-free society and encouraged students to uphold ethical values in their academic and professional lives.
The programme was presided over by Shri Manel Annappa Nayak, President, Women’s National Education Society (WNES). Other dignitaries present included Mr. Keshava Kumara K, General Manager (Vigilance) and Deputy Chief Vigilance Officer, MRPL, Dr. Molly S. Chaudhuri, Director, MSNIM, along with officials from the Vigilance Department of MRPL, faculty members and students.
The event concluded with the distribution of prizes to the winners of various competitions and served as a meaningful initiative to spread awareness about vigilance and ethical responsibility among students.
