Guest Talk on 'Laws in Everyday Life-A Holistic View' by S.P. Chengappa

On 10th December 2022, the Human Rights cell on the occasion of Human Rights Day organised a session on ‘Laws in Everyday Life: a Holistic View by S.P. Chengappa, President of Dakshina Kannada District Legal forum. Mr. Chengappa gave an overview of various laws from cradle to applicable on a common person. He explained various cases & examples to give a realistic view & understand the need to be aware of these laws.

The programme started with a prayer by Avantika of 2nd year MBA. Then Vaishnavi of 2nd year MBA introduced and welcomed S.P. Chengappa and handover the session to him. The session was about all the laws pertaining to an individual since his conception to his death. He started from prenatal laws, laws governing the birth of an individual and the laws presiding over the death of an individual. He highlighted the importance of these documents and narrated various incidents he encountered as an advocate.

The programme ended with vote of thanks from Shawn of 2nd year MBA.
