Guest Talk by Mr. K M Padmanabhan on Case Study Analysis

A Guest talk in association with IQAC was organised on 17th August 2023 on the topic “Case Study Analysis”, at Swarna Academy Hall.

Resource person was Mr. K M Padmanabhan, CA, IIMA. He is the founder Secretary of Case Society of India, also, the Independent Director of ONGC and former Independent Director of RINL.

Mr. Sandeep S K, HR Head Pratt and Whitney India, also former faculty, MSNIM, was also present in the session.

A copy of the case was given to the students in advance, to read before the session. Mr. Padmanabhan started the session by asking questions about the case. The questions were asked to help students understand as to “how a case has to be read” and pointers to ‘identify the problem / point of discussion’ in the case. Then, he explained “how to analyse the case and draw possible solutions”. Mr. Sandeep also shared his insights on various angles of ‘how a case can also be viewed and analysed’. The session was very interactive and informative which helped students understand the “Case Study” approach of learning which may also be used in real life situations.
