Manel Srinivas Nayak Institute of Management (MSNIM), Besant Campus, Mangaluru, in association with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and the Manipal School of Commerce and Economics (MSCE), MAHE, successfully organized a Five - Day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on "Publication-Ready Research: From Idea Generation to Manuscript Preparation" from 25th to 29th May 2026 in hybrid mode. The programme was designed to strengthen the research capabilities of faculty members, research scholars, and postgraduate students by equipping them with the knowledge and skills required for high-quality research publication.
The FDP featured a series of expert-led sessions covering the entire research publication process. The inaugural session by Dr. Ankitha Shetty focused on identifying research gaps and developing meaningful research questions. Subsequent sessions included Dr. Mathew Thomas Gil on systematic literature review, Dr. Suhan Mendon on conceptual framework development, Dr. Satish Kumar on interpretation of research findings and journal selection, and Dr. Rashmi Kodikal on proposal writing and drafting publication-ready research articles.
The sessions provided participants with practical exposure to research design, hypothesis formulation, literature review techniques, statistical interpretation, academic writing, publication ethics, citation practices, indexing databases, and strategies for selecting appropriate journals while avoiding predatory publications. The interactive discussions and practical examples enabled participants to enhance their understanding of scholarly publishing and research methodology.
The FDP witnessed enthusiastic participation from faculty members, research scholars, and postgraduate students from various institutions. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, acknowledging the valuable contributions of the distinguished resource persons, participants, the organizing committee, IQAC, and MSCE, MAHE, in making the Faculty Development Programme a meaningful and successful academic initiative.
