Blood Donation Camp

The Blood Donation camp was organised at MSNIM Besant Campus, Bondel,Mangalore in association with MSNIM & the Indian Red Cross Society, D.K. Dist Branch, Mangalore on 23rd March 2022. The inaugural program of the Blood donation camp began at 10.00 am at Swarna Academy Hall, MSNIM Besant Campus, Mangalore. Ms. Preema Lasrado, II Year MBA student welcomed the gathering and gave a brief introduction of the Guests. Prayer was rendered by Ms. Swathi Rao.

CA Shantharam Shetty, Chairman of the Indian Red Cross Society, DK.District Branch was the inaugurator. Sri Manel Annappa Nayak, Vice President, WNES and Dr. J.N.Bhat, Medical Officer, Blood Bank, Indian Red Cross Society were the Chief Guests for the programme.

In his inaugural speech, CA Shantharam Shetty stressed the need for and importance of donating blood and highlighted the services rendered by the Indian Red Cross Society.

Mr. Jeevandas Narayan, Correspondent & Former MD, State Bank of Travancore presided over the programme He thanked the guests for gracing the occasion.

The Director of MSNIM, Dr. Molly S. Chaudhuri honoured the guests with the mementos as a token of appreciation.

The inaugural programme concluded with Vote of Thinks proposed by Ms. Avishma Alva, II year MBA Student. The programme was followed by the blood donation at the Nethravathi Auditorium. Sn Suresh Shenoy, Coordinator, present at the dais.

Thorough medical check-up of potential donors was done by the Doctors of Lady Goshen Hospital. Medical checkup comprised of checking of the weights and blood pressure of the donors. Hemoglobin check was done for female donors. 12 beds were arranged for blood donation. Total 40 members donated their blood. The Camp concluded at 12 noon.
