One Day Virtual International Conference on Digital Transformation of Business

The inaugural ceremony of the conference began with an invocation, and our beloved Director Dr. Molly S Chaudhuri welcomed the dignitaries and the gathering. She then introduced the Chief Guest of the conference Dr. Randhir Pushpa, Co-founder and Director of ACIES Innovations.

In his inaugural address, he said that Covid democratized the digital transformation. If we didn’t have digitalization, the impact of covid would have been much higher than what it was. We should thank covid because the concept of future of work disrupted due to covid. Further, he insisted to read more on the future of work, hybrid working, and metaverses as the organizations are transforming themselves into smart organizations, where the work of middle management may be done by artificial intelligent driven machines.

While sharing his views on digital transformation he said that digital technology had strengthened all the work. To stay ahead, today’s leaders need a thorough understanding of the rapid—and sometimes radical—developments that are shaping this transformation. Machine Learning, blockchain, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, the Internet of Things, and cybersecurity are the areas where one should acquire the strategies to respond to the latest developments. 

In the presidential remarks Sri. Kudpi Jagdeesh shenoy President, of Women’s National Education Society pointed out the digital transformation of business requires future leaders to be tech-savvy, and conferences with such themes help disseminate the knowledge.

Mr. Jeevan Das Narayan, former MD, State Bank of Travancore, and present Correspondent, MSNIM reiterated the chief guest’s views while quoting from the

working model of Swiggy. He insisted to understand the ethical dimensions of digital transformation. Digital Utopia, dystopias are some of the issues to be discussed from an academic point of view.

Professor Reema Frank delivered the vote of thanks.

The first plenary talk was delivered by Dr. Almahdy Alhaj Saleh, Senior faculty of creative and computing Technology, Limkokwing University, Malaysia. He spoke on how information technology advanced the business and the research. In the Panel Discussion We had as Moderator – Dr. Madanmohan Rao, Research director at YourStory Media. He interacted with Dr. Omar Amer Abouabdalla, Associate Professor, dean Faculty of Information & Communication Technology, LIMKOKWING UNIVERSITY,

Ms. Rithu Grower, Director KM at Khaitan and co and Ms.Nirmala Palaniappan, Vice President, Knowledge Transformation Services at Genpact.

The panel discussed on knowledge, data and information in context of business, knowledge management and consultancy perspectives. The panel pooled the insights such as Success of digital transformation depends on how we connect with people and organization,

How do we personalize the process?

Digitization means not only automation but reviewing is most important. The process of digitalization is simplified by focusing over one thing at a time. Lining with earlier adopters, having pilot projects also adds to the success of DT. Digital Transformation is measured in terms of time, costing, quantification, subjective surveys and accuracy levels.

Story and the people who promoted determine the culture in an organization. Influences, ambiances and envt. we create nurture the culture in an organization.

The panel discussion was followed by the paper presentation session.

The delegates presented their papers in paper presentation tracks as per the schedule. Dr. Vidyavathi, Dr. Shilpa, Dr. Omar and professor Reema were the chairpersons. 56 research papers on various sub themes of the conference were presented by 175 delegates.

To conclude, this conference was indeed a memorable event and I sincerely acknowledge the hard work and effort of the organizing team including our director Dr. Molly S Chaudhuri.

I also take this opportunity to thank all the chairpersons, rapporteurs, authors of the papers and delegates of the conference for their effort and support in making this conference a memorable and a great success.

We have received 72 research papers and 175 delegates have presented papers. 56 research papers in separate sessions over a hundred delegates participating in the conference
