WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY

World Environment day

Manel Srinivas Nayak Institute of Management organized a World Environment Day on 5th June 2023 at MSNIM Besant Campus, Bondel, Mangalore.

Mr. P. Shreedhar, Assistant Conservator of Forests, Mangalore Subdivision was the Chief Guest.

Dr. Molly S. Chaudhuri, Director of MSNIM presided over the program.

The program began with the Chief Guest planting a sapling in the campus. He was accompanied by the Director, staff and students.

The Chief Guest Mr. P. Shreedhar, Asst. Conservator of Forests addressed the gathering relating to World Environment Day. He stressed on the importance of protecting and preserving plant species for the continuing of all species. He reminded the audience that as a mother protect her child, mother earth protects all life, and must be protected in return. Geographical and biological environment should not be neglected in the name of development. He warned that everyone should care about social environment. Otherwise, it will be impossible to get a good oxygen in future days.

Director, Dr Molly Chaudhuri spoke about the importance of sustainable development. She stated that most of today’s natural disasters are manmade. She also stressed on “the power of one” and that every individual has the power to change society one person at a time.

The program continued with Mr. Shreedhar, Assistant Conservator of Forests, handing over saplings to the staff and students who have volunteers to plant saplings in their homes.

Ms. Arpitha Nayak, student of II-year MBA welcomed the gathering. The program concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Ms. Sneha of II-year MBA. Mr. Suresh Shenoy, Faculty, coordinated the program.
