Women's Day Celebration
Manel Srinivas Nayak Institute of Management (MSNIM), Besant Campus, celebrated International Women’s Day with great enthusiasm and participation on March 10, 2025, at Swarna Hall.
The programme commenced at 2:00 PM with a prayer, followed by a welcome address and introduction of the guest by Ms. Karishma, I Year MBA student. The lamp lighting ceremony was performed by the Guest of Honour, Miss Amrutha Nayak, along with student council members.
In her inspiring address, Miss Amrutha Nayak spoke about the strength of women, highlighting the transformation of women’s roles from the olden days to the present era, and concluded by extending her best wishes to all women. Dr. Molly S. Chaudhuri, Director, MSNIM, addressed the gathering on the topic of women’s empowerment and presented a memento to the guest as a token of appreciation.
The inaugural programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms. Krithika Shettigar, I Year MBA student.

Cooking Without Fire Competition
As part of the Women’s Day celebrations, the Women’s Development Cell organized a “Cooking Without Fire” competition, promoting creativity, healthy eating, and culinary skills. Twelve teams, each consisting of five members, participated and presented dishes prepared without using fire, showcasing fresh ingredients and innovative recipes.
The competition was judged by Ms. Divya and Ms. Amrutha Nayak, who evaluated the teams based on taste, presentation, and creativity. The winners were:
1st Prize: Swapna and Team (Swapna, Divya, Nikitha, Sudharshan, Karthik)
2nd Prize: Shastha and Team (Shastha, Dharshan, Sachin, Veekshith, Ashwin)
3rd Prize: Gayathri and Team
This event fostered teamwork, collaboration, and a spirit of healthy competition while promoting the concept of fire-free cooking.

The Women’s Development Cell also organised fun games to engage students and promote coordination, teamwork, and enjoyment. The activities included:
Three-Legged Race
In this engaging race, pairs tied one leg together and raced to the finish line. The winners were:

2nd Prize: Sparsha and Megha
Passing the Balloon
Participants passed a balloon using only specific body parts without using their hands, enhancing coordination and team spirit.

2nd Prize: Adithya Suvarna and Team (Adithya Suvarna, Karthik, Shamith, Pavan, Swarup)
