November 9, 2022

On 9th November 2022, the students of the 1st year MBA Visited the Seva Ashrama Old age home as part of the Chaitanya “the joy of giving” initiative taken by the college.

The day began with the students sorting and gathering the contributions they had all voluntary contributed and collected towards the same in their collection drive held from the 5TH to 8th November within the college premises where all students were encouraged to contribute any items of need to the elderly.

15 Students visited the Seva Ashrama and there were 25 inmates at the old age home. The students were welcomed by the inmates with their hospitality and beautiful smiles. The day began with Kavya and Sachin welcoming the gathering followed by a prayer by the students.

The audience were then addressed by professor Chithranjali of MSNIM and Miss Geetha, the caretaker of the old age home.

The students then proceeded interacting with the Inmates of the home with conducting a few low-effort games. The first game was Guessing the movie actor from the 90’s and to sing any song of their movie. The elderly really loved and actively participated in this game, and all enjoyed themselves a lot.it was really lovely to see that the elderly were equally excited and looking forward to spending their time with the students.

This game was then followed with a beautiful musical performance by Deekshitha of 1st year MBA who played the tunes with her saxophone. A song was also performed by the students and the elderly joining in the same.it was a very delightful moment to see all happy and enjoying themselves.

There was one more game conducted By Wilma from 1st year MBA where the inmates were blindfolded and made to guess the name of vegetable they were given. This game was a huge success and enjoyed by all. To end the program there was a group song sung by the students and the elderly really enjoyed the same.

The elderly also sung a few songs. After the Vote of thanks by kavya a small token of contribution by the students from the Chaithanya collection drive was given to the Seva Ashrama and the inmates blessed all the students and their professor with all their heart.

The students also got a great opportunity to spent time with the elderly and connect with them, learn about their stories of great strength. Overall, the Visit was very Delightful, filled with lots of love and will be Cherished by all.
