Street Play Workshop By Sri. Jagan Pawar

The Manel Srinivas Nayak Institute of Management (MSNIM), Besant Campus, Bondel, Mangalore, organized a two-day Workshop on Street Play on 25th and 26th July 2024. The inaugural programme was held at Swarna Academy Hall at 10:00 AM.

The event began with a warm welcome by Ms. Kavya Bangera, II Year MBA student, followed by a brief introduction of the guest by Ms. Karishma, I Year MBA. The session commenced with a prayer rendered by Mr. Shashwath Acharya, II Year MBA.

The workshop was inaugurated by Sri Jagan Pawar, the chief guest, who emphasized the importance of street play as an impactful medium to create awareness among youth on various social issues. Dr. Molly S. Chaudhuri, Director, MSNIM, addressed the gathering and highlighted the role of street play in management education, particularly in communication, leadership, and community engagement.

The inaugural programme concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Ms. Kavya Bangera.

Following the inauguration, training sessions were conducted for 20 students at Netravathi Auditorium. The participants were divided into two groups of 10 each. The training focused on two themes – “Unity in Diversity” and “Say No to Plastic”.

During the workshop, Sri Jagan Pawar trained students on applying management skills in street plays and other art forms. He conducted activities to enhance time management, collaboration, emotional intelligence, and communication skills. Students learnt how to understand and regulate their emotions, read situations effectively, and manage relationships and communication for impactful performances.

The workshop enabled students to boost their confidence and build the ability to create social awareness through street plays, integrating their managerial learning with creative expression.
