Mr. V. Leeladhar, Former Dy. Governor, RBI, was in conversation with Mr. Ratheesh R., General Manager, Union Bank of India.
Mr. Leeladhar introduced the guest Mr. Ratheesh R. to the audience. The conversation began by Mr. Ratheesh speaking about his education background & how as a young graduate he moved out of his hometown to pursue his banking career. Mr. Ratheesh revealed the various aspects of his life, the role of his family & mentors. He acknowledged his mentors & the people who played an important part in his professional success. Mr. Ratheesh shared his hobbies like singing and also sang a Malayalam song for the audience.
Mr. Leeladhar introduced the second guest Mrs. Ashwini Baliga who has worked with him & Mr. Ratheesh in Corporation bank. Mrs. Ashwini shared her journey with audience as how she took the road less travelled when was posted in corporate advances department. She also shared to how in spite of being the only female in the corporate advances team she focused on her work to achieve great results.

It doesn’t matter which education background or family background you come from as long as you are good learner and a hard worker, you can succeed in life.
He also mentioned that there is nothing wrong in switching career if it helps you reach the pinnacle of success in your career. He advised students not to be loner but a team player. He advised students to move out of their comfort zone and focus on which ever work field they are interested in by acquiring complete knowledge. He also mentioned that guidance from right people in life takes a long way by quoting incidents from his life as examples.
Mrs. Ashwini Baliga
Attributed her success to her family saying that how her family endured and supported her when she was the first lady posted in corporate advances which was reputed for working late hours in times which was only dominated by men. She advised students to have integrity to perform their duties honestly by sticking to the work ethics & by being loyal. She asked the students to have ‘I can do’ attitude which has always worked for her by stressing the need of positive attitude in life.
