Annual Day & Gradation Day 2024

Mangaluru, Sep 30: The Manel Srinivas Nayak Institute of Management (MSNIM) organised the annual day and graduation day for its outgoing MBA 24th batch students (2022-2024) on Wednesday, September 25, at the institute's campus in Bondel. Mukund Kamath, chairman and managing director of Ideal Ice cream Private Limited, was the chief guest, and Manel Annappa Nayak, president of the Women’s National Education Society (WNES), presided.

In his address, Mukund Kamath advised the students to be loyal and committed to the institutions they work for. He stated, “The seven Cs of competency commitment, confidence, curiosity, creativity, compassion, courage and collaboration play an important role in life. Collaboration is the key to success, and we must be confident in our communication. Life is full of uncertainties, and it is courage that will propel you forward.”

During the annual day celebration, 41 students who secured distinctions in academics were honoured with scholarships of Rs 2,500 each. Additionally, students received medals and certificates for their achievements in various activities conducted under the Samanvaya Forum during the year 2023–2024. A video showcasing glimpses of the various activities held at the institute throughout the year was also presented.

The graduation ceremony commenced with the traditional Jyothi Pradhan ceremony, where faculty members oiled the lamp, followed by the lighting of the lamp by the students. Associate professor Dr Reema Agnes Frank administered the MBA oath, after which certificates were distributed to the graduating students.

Kudpi Jagadish Shenoy, ex-president, Women’s National Education Society (WNES) and Raghava Kamath, member of the Governing Body, MSNIM were present on the dais. Shyam Bhat, centre head, TCS Ion Digital Zone was present.

Institute director Dr Molly S Chaudhuri gave the welcome address and introduced the chief guest. Assistant professor Sanath Bhandarkar coordinated the distribution of awards and prizes. Assistant professor Aditi Kamath coordinated the distribution of graduation certificates. Assistant professor Dr Shilpi Saha gave the vote of thanks. Assistant professor Sathvika Shetty was the programme coordinator and anchored the programme. First year MBA students served as volunteers.
