Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav (Samanvaya)

India is going to celebrate its 75th Independence on August 15th, 2022. For one year, all the organizations, educational institutions, and other government bodies in India put forth various programmes to commensurate the independence celebration. In this line, the student forum ‘Samanvya” of Manel Srinivas Nayak Institute of Management came out with four types of competitions stretched for a month for their fellow mates. Quiz, Rangoli, Poster making, and Debate are the four events.

Accordingly, the forum organized Azadi Ka Amruth Mahotsav - Quiz Competition as an opening event on 13/7/22.

Dr. Molly S Chaudhuri, Director of MSNIM, inaugurated the programme. In her inaugural speech, she advised the students to understand our duties towards the nation rather than our rights. Seek knowledge of the agony that our ancestors went through before independence. The freedom that they gave us from the British is very precious. We should remember the sacrifice of the freedom fighters and incorporate their leadership qualities into our life.

After the inauguration, the quiz competition commenced. Each team prepared quiz questions in one of the areas such as politics, economics, business, arts, sports, science and technology, and sports. All the members of the teams actively participated in all rounds.

Team Nykaa bagged first place by scoring the highest. Team Myntra and Boat shared second place, Ajio was satisfied with 3rd place, Tanisque got fourth place Meesho, and Amazon shared fifth place.

After the result, the teams dispersed.

Rangoli

In continuation of competions for the celebration of Azadi Ka Amruth Mahotsav, Samanvya, the student forum of the institute organized Rangoli Competition on the theme India since independent.

Students of Amazon group won the first place and bagged white Badge. Nykaa and Boat shared 2 nd place, Ajio got third place, Myntra and Meesho satisfied with fourth place and Team Tanishq got fifth place.

Poster Making competition.

on account of Azadi Ka Amruth Mahotsav ceremony was heldon 27/7/22. Students were actively participated and showed their patriotism through posters.

Students of Tanishq group won the first place and bagged white Badge. Nykaa and Ajio got 2 nd and third place respectively. Boat and Amazon got 4 th and 5 th place respectively. Meesho and mynthra satisfied with sixth place. Ms. Nanditha Sunil Asst.Professor and Mr. Suresh Shenoy Asst.Professor were the judges for the event.

Debate Competition

The student forum of the institute also organized a debate competition on account of 75 th anniversary of Independence Day. The students debated on the topic, ‘Right to speak is boon or a bane?’ They had to speak for and against the topic. Students of Nykaa team won the first place, Tanishq got second place, boat obtained 3 rd place. Amazon, Mynthra, Ajio and,Meesho obtained 4 th ,5 th ,6 th ,and7 th place respectively.

On 13/8/22 Samanvya organized the Azadi Ka Amruth Mahotsav Valedictory to sum up the various competitions held on account of the celebration of the 75th Independence of India.

The programme started with Vande Matharam song and displayed the clippings of the freedom fight.

One student from senior and junior batch spoke on India before and after independence and the role of students in upholding the nation.

The director, Molly S Chaudhuri, mentioned the need for and importance of independence and our responsibility towards retaining the freedom for which our elders struggled. The present generation must make India proud by doing their duties towards the nation.

Later faculty Coordinator Mrs. Ashaltha read the names of the prize winners of various competitions, and the director, Molly S Chaudhuri, handed over the prizes to the winners.

The student Secretary Anujna delivered the vote of Thanks. Programme ended with the National Anthem and the distribution of sweets. Students and faculty members took photographs from the selfi stand created by the students on remembrance of 75th Independence Day celebration.
